If you have a foundation you will need to raise money for certain events like charity events or other such things. You may get the attention of a celebrity that will donate money to your foundation or maybe you will get on the soft side of a company that will donate some money for our cause. But a great way to raise money for a foundation is a raffle. Online raffles work just like normal raffles but they have some legal issues. You need to get approbation from the state in which you live in order to organize an online raffle because there is a great debate on how legal they are. When you hear about raffles, the first things you think about are numbers on paper and something that looks like a lottery game but you win with every ticket something. Well, that's what happens in a real life raffle. Raffles actually come from Italy where they are called tombola. In the tombola game, you have a few tickets with numbers on them and you put them in a jar from where someone picks them out and if the selected ticket is yours you will win something. Online raffles are not really allowed by the law of the United States. That is because there can be a lot of hoaxes on the Internet regarding such events. If you want to organize an online raffle then you will have to get an approval from the court and you will have to mention the reason why you want to organize such an event. After or if you will get the approval, then you will still be supervised by someone so that you won't ransack the people you will work with. And you will probably only get the approval to organize a raffle only if you will do it in order to raise some money for a foundation or something like it.
So, in order to legalize online raffles you will need to prove that you will use the money from the online tickets to good causes. You can't just organize an online raffle and expect to get all the money; this would be way to easy and everybody would get rich.
